Talking about the feel-good genre, “The Princess Diaries” is a franchise that is up there as one of those classic films. Though not highly rated based on quality, the franchise does give viewers a bit of comfort.
Started in 2001, the second part of the franchise came out in 2004, and then there was major ambiguity about the third part. But after two decades of waiting, there is some light.
During a recent interview, the woman herself, Anne Hathaway, shared some positive updates about the future of the franchise. “We’re in a good place,” she narrated. And when she was asked if she can spill some more beans, “That’s all I can say. There’s nothing to announce yet. But we’re in a good place.”
Though there is no official announcement from Disney as of now, the fans are significantly excited for the future endeavors. The social media space was flooded with exciting tweets, and a majority of fans started to build up the hype for “The Princess Diaries 3” and the upcoming “Peaky Blinders” film.
Though talking about another Hathaway film, there is also a sad update about “The Devil Wears Prada”’s future; there is no assurance about making a second part, and that is practically a good step. The film is great as a standalone.
But in today’s market, if advertised well, “The Princess Diaries 3” will work not only for the nostalgia factor but will also be an enjoyable watch for the kids as well.
