Janhvi Kapoor’s upcoming film ‘Ulajh’ is set to release in theatres this Friday and fans seem pretty excited about it. Also the early screening reviews are also saying good things about the film.
But then fans are fans and critics viewing early screenings generally say all good things about the star and the film. Although if what they are speculating for the film turns out to be true will ‘Ulajh’ be that career defining film for Janhvi Kapoor, like ‘Highway’ was for Alia Bhatt?
Now that’s a question for later when the film comes out and public delivers its judgment. Let’s talk about people’s reactions on ‘Uljah’ first and all that they have to say about it. After the trailer dropped there were many fan theories trying to make out what the film is going to be about.
‘Ulajh’ is touted to be a stylized international thriller drama and centres around the high stakes world of international diplomacy where the price of secrets is higher. Janhvi Kapoor stars in the film as a young Indian Foreign Services (IFS) officer who belongs to a prominent family of patriots and gets embroiled in a dangerous personal conspiracy while being far away from home and at a post that will define her career.
Though the premise is interesting, the trailer did raise many questions. Is Janhvi really the traitor she is made out to be or is she double crossing everyone and trying to do the bigger more riskier job. Some also believe that she has a double role in the film.
It’s not just Janhvi that stands out in the trailer, Gulshan Devaiah, Roshan Mathew and Meiyang Chang also make quite an impression.
It’s all looking great for ‘Ulajh’, a national award winning filmmaker Sudhanshu Saria’s credentials attached to it, an intriguing premise, a well cut trailer that’s got people on hooks alongwith an impressive star cast.
Moreover, ‘Ulajh’, despite having a young star cast, is more anticipated than Ajay Devgn and Tabu led ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ that’s set to clash on 2nd August. Devgn and Tabu have earlier delivered hit like ‘Drishyam’, still it’s ‘Ulajh’ that people are more excited about.
