The arc of Loki is no less beautiful than that of good literature; it has seen the highest of highs and the lowest of lows but still fought back. As fans continue to cherish the Season 2 finale, there lies just one big question:
Will we see more of Loki in the road ahead?
Loki was on a journey to find purpose, and the series gave him one. However, while fans are ecstatic about Loki’s fate, they are also saddened by the possibility that the finale might mark the end of the character.
During a recent interview, Hiddleston was asked about the possibility of a second season, and the update isn’t overly positive. “I truthfully don’t know,” he says. “I am so proud of where we landed in Season 2. To go from this lost, broken soul in Asgard, and be given a second chance to learn so much about life that he actually gives himself to protect other people, has been such an honor.”
Now, this isn’t the absolute end for someone like Loki. We will likely be visiting him quite often down the road. Especially if Marvel manages to continue the Kang storyline, Loki might be there during the face-off, especially since Kang was Loki’s primary concern in the storyline.
And keeping a character like Loki alive always means that Marvel will have such a character in stock and can bring them back anytime..
