Talented British actor Ralph Ineson is suing Disney after suffering a permanent shoulder injury while filming the studio’s fantasy adventure series, Willow.
According to The Sun, Ineson suffered a severe shoulder injury while filming a night scene during the production of the Willow Disney+ series, which serves as a sequel to the 1988 movie of the same name. While presenting his case in front of the London High Court, the actor claimed that he permanently dislocated his shoulder while shooting a fight sequence with The Scourge (a 9-foot-tall ogre from the series). He fell awkwardly in the middle of that sequence, causing one of his shoulders to suffer a permanent injury.
Ralph Ineson has filed a lawsuit against Disney, demanding a compensation of £150,000 (nearly $190,000). In his statement, he has revealed that he can’t accept physically demanding roles now due to his injury.
Disney is yet to comment on this matter.
Ralph Ineson is best known for his roles in prominent films like the Harry Potter series (as Amycus Carrow), Robin Hood (2010), Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), The Witch (2015), The Huntsman: Winter’s War (2016), Ready Player One (2018), The Green Knight (2021), The Northman (2022), and more. He will also appear in Robert Eggers’ next feature directional, Nosferatu, sharing the screen alongside the likes of Bill Skarsgard, Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, and Willem Dafoe.
