Here’s big news for sports fans. The second season of ‘Winning Time’ is going to premiere soon. A teaser is released and ‘Winning Time: The Rise Of The Lakers Dynasty‘ season 2 will premiere on the 6th of August.
The show is based on the novel series ‘Showtime’ by Jeff Pearlman and created by Max Borenstein and Jim Hecht. It is a biographical sports drama that tells the story of the 1980s Showtime era of the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team. It has stories of famous NBA stars like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Magic Johnson. The show captures the 80s sports circle environment quite accurately here.
Winning Time has actors like John C. Reilly, Quincy Isaiah, Jason Clarke, Adrien Brody, Gaby Hoffmann, Tracy Letts and Jason Segel and many more. Most of the actors will return to reprise their roles.
The first season had 10 episodes and it chronicled the prpfessional and personal lives of Los Angeles Lakers team which was the rookie year of Magic Johnson and the first year of Jerry Buss as the owner. It premiered on the 6th of March in 2022 and is now available to watch on JioCinema. Most probably the second season will premiere on JioCinema at the same time it does in the US on Max.
