Led by Maya Erskine, Blue Eye Samural revolves around Mizu, a half-Japanese and half-White female samurai warrior, who seeks vengeance against four men. She tries to take revenge on the men who destroyed her past. Along the way, she befriends some individuals and confronts prejudice. Her final mission takes her to the Edo Castle where she encounters one of the villains, Abijah Fowler.
The series has received acclaim from viewers and critics for its unique animation style, visuals, fighting sequences, and complicated but layered story. Its animation serves as a tasty blend of 2D anime with 3D elements, giving audiences a chance to watch visually breathtaking scenes. In many ways, the show also offers social commentary on discrimination and prejudice against women and the human race.
