If you think movie fans are annoyed by censorship, WWE fans have been suffering from this exact fate for years now. WWE is shifting from USA and Fox Sports to Netflix, which will bring some major changes to the product.
For years, WWE has been going through their PG-13 era, which is boring the fans. WWE viewers aren’t entirely kids; there is a big nostalgia angle playing into it. Fans need that edge, but it is not always possible to have it on linear cable.
Today’s SmackDown event of WWE is probably testing the patience of the fans. During Triple H’s reign, though the product is becoming edgier, it is also censored on live television, which is frustrating for fans.
Besides that, Fox has a very annoying habit of cutting shows abruptly, and their advertisement spots are quite awful. On some occasions, fans have to miss crucial action because of the advertisements.
Though USA Network is a bit more consistent, WWE fans do need a change. So, as SmackDown aired today, fans were celebrating that the FOX experience will be gone soon. There is no update about India’s streaming rights, but they might shift from SonyLIV to Netflix. There is no official update yet.
@FOX cutting to black they don’t do that on @USANetwork can’t wait to move to @netflix it will be worth it just to nut deal with stupid censoring. #SmackDown @LAKnightSite @LoganPaul #WWE #uschampion

I seriously cannot wait until @WWE goes to @netflix. At least I’ll know I can watch a program without being CENSORED every 5 fucking seconds! Fuck off @WWEonFOX! @TripleH
