The official trailer for ‘Yaariyan 2’ is out now. The movie will not be a sequel to the first installment but will have a new story. ‘Yaariyan 2’ is the official remake of the Malayalam movie ‘Bangalore Days’ that gathered huge critical acclaim and audience applause all over India.
The trailer is not at all satisfactory and does not even manage to express what the story is actually about. Yaariyan 2 will star actors like Divya Khosla Kumar, Meezan Jafri, Yash Dasgupta. It is a shame to see such actors play the roles of Fahadh Faasil, Nazriya Nazim or Dulquer Salman. Meezan Jafri is a promising actor but there is no spark in his or any other’s performance. This seems to be a pointless remake without the actors.
Yaariyan 2 is directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru. It looks like Bollywood is going to have another disaster remake. The wonderful story of Bangalore Days by Anjali Menon has already impressed the sub-continent and there is nothing extraordinary in the trailer that might intrigue the audiences.
It might prove to be a blunder for the makers to remake such a well-known film. Not only that, even the iconic song ‘Sunny Sunny’ from the movie Yaariyan has been remade and audiences have not liked it at all. The songs of the movie are composed by Manan Bhardwaj, Khalif and Yo Yo Honey Singh. The cinematography is handled by Ravi Yadav.
