The trailer of the much-awaited Korean film Yaksha: Ruthless Operations is out now. To those who are unaware, Yaksha is a name very familiar to Indians. In Hindu culture, Yaksha is worshipped as the protector of Dharma.
Looking at the trailer, it becomes confirmed why the makers decided to do so. The film is helmed by director Na Hyeo. It stars Sol Kyung-gu, Park Hae-soo and Yang Dong-Keun and is set in the economic capital of China ie Shanghai.
Recently after the wave of Korean content on Netflix, particularly after Squid Game, Indians have been looking forward to more and more films/series from Korea. This addition is surely going to break the stereotype revolving around Korean content as it is a ruthless espionage drama.
It is about a prosecutor who is demoted and now involved in a deadly war that takes place between spies. Needless to say, the film is expected to be high in terms of action and thrill. Good for the Squid Game fans, Park Hae-soo is the same actor who played the chilling character of Sang-Woo in the series.
