Yami Gautam Wraps Up Filming for Hostage Thriller ‘A Thursday’. Shares BTS Video

Eminent film producer Ronnie Screwvala’s production company RSVP Movies took to Twitter earlier today to inform that Yami Gautam has wrapped up her filming schedule for their upcoming film titled ‘A Thursday’. The Tweet was marked with the words “A mastermind on camera. A cutie off-camera. It’s a picture wrap for one and only @yamigautam on the sets of #AThursday.”

Along with the post, an adorable behind-the-scenes video was also attached. In the video, Yami Gautam expressed her feelings about how her shooting schedule for ‘A Thursday’ will take some time to sink in. The stunning actress was seen filming and discussing scenes on the backdrop of a playschool, which seems to be the location for the bulk of the film.

The movie is being helmed by ‘Blank’ writer and director Behzad Khambata and ‘A Thursday’ is his second directorial venture. The story revolves around the character of Naina Jaiswal (played by Yami Gautam), who will be seen as a playschool teacher who takes sixteen children as hostages on a Thursday (that’s why the title).

Besides Yami Gautam, the film also features Neha Dhupia, Maya Sarao, Atul Kulkarni, and Dimple Kapadia. Neha Dhupia will be essaying the role of a cop ACP Catherine Alvarez in the movie. A few months back, Yami Gautam had revealed on a social media platform the first look of her character which was titled ‘The Mastermind. Naina Jaiswal’.

From what we know about the film so far, it seems that ‘A Thursday’ might prove to be another author-backed role with a female-centric lead character on the heels of the recently released dramedy ‘Mimi’ starring Kriti Sanon. Unlike ‘Mimi’, which was a social-comedy-drama film, ‘A Thursday’ has been set in a thriller format and has an intriguing premise.

Yami Gautam, who has some fine films under her belt including ‘Vicky Donor’, ‘Badlapur’, ‘Kaabil’, ‘Uri’, and ‘Bala’, will next be seen in Saif Ali Khan starrer ‘Bhoot Police’, and ‘Dasvi’ which features Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur. While the precise release details for ‘A Thursday’ are yet to be announced by the makers.
