You Fester Vengence: Nayanthara In Her Open Letter To Dhanush

Dhanush, a celebrated name in both South Indian cinema and Bollywood, has built a career spanning over two decades as an actor, filmmaker, and songwriter. Similarly, Nayanthara, who rose to prominence around the same time, is now one of the highest-paid actresses in India. Recently, a heated dispute between the two has captured the internet’s attention.

Dhanush issued a legal notice to Nayanthara, demanding compensation for the alleged unauthorized use of specific clips in her upcoming Netflix documentary. In response, Nayanthara fired back with a detailed statement, strongly refuting the claims.

Actor Nayanthara has responded strongly to Dhanush’s legal notice regarding her upcoming Netflix documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale. In an open letter, she criticized what she referred to as Dhanush’s longstanding “vengeance,” particularly over the inclusion of clips from their 2015 film, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Dhanush had demanded ₹10 crore in compensation for a 3-second clip, alleging unauthorized use of these clips in the documentary.

In the letter, she highlights Dhanush’s repeated denial of permission to use songs and visuals from the film, despite numerous requests.

Nayanthara also conveyed her disappointment over the legal action initiated following the release of the documentary’s trailer, viewing it as a reflection of a personal vendetta.
