Vivo IPL 2021 is the 14th edition of the lucrative cricketing spectacle. The Indian Premier League (IPL) has always been hot property for Disney Plus Hotstar. The platform has enjoyed exclusive streaming rights for the tourney for Indian viewers, and there’s no doubt it’s a money-spinner for Hotstar. New player YuppTV cannot stream the IPL in India, since Disney Plus Hotstar has exclusive streaming rights for the country.
As per the announcement made by YuppTV today, the platform will broadcast Vivo IPL 2021 to 100 countries, including Continental Europe, Australia, Sri Lanka, South East Asia (except Singapore and Malaysia), Central and South America, Central Asia, Nepal, Bhutan, and Maldives.
IPL 2021 kicks off on April 9, with the first match seeing Mumbai Indians and RCB facing off against each other. The matches will be streamed on Disney Plus Hotstar VIP in India. Viewers need to have a subscription for Disney Plus Hotstar VIP/Premium to watch the matches. Eight teams will play 60 Twenty20 matches in the race to win the coveted IPL Trophy.
