Zee5 Did It Again; Promised RRR In 4K Dolby Atmos But…

We all know that mega-blockbuster RRR is now streaming on Zee5 in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam with English subtitles. The makers decided to release the film on the birthday of Jr NTR and so is happening.

But just like Valimai, just like The Kashmir Files, they failed to give desired experience to the Indian masses. When we mention ‘Indian mass’ then we want to make it clear that the problem lies with Indian streaming. In the USA, Zee5 is available and only positive response is pouring in for the film.

The resolution is great and so is the sound quality. However, the platform must not forget that the majority of its subscribers are in India.

During Valimai, subscribers complained that the film was streaming in only 720p after hours of release. A similar thing happened during The Kashmir Files where the Telugu audio was missing and even the resolution was not 4K as they promised.

Thankfully, they fixed the glitches but it is disastrous for the image of the streamer and the fans who want to watch the movie without a delay.

The journey of RRR on Zee5 is already filled with struggle as the platform was planning to stream it in a “pay per view” model but the public outrage forced them to step back.

Let’s see how long Zee5 India takes to give the same experience to Indian subscribers as they are providing to their USA subscribers.
