Homegrown streaming platform ZEE5 has finally revealed the release date for its much-awaited original film ‘Silence 2’, the sequel to its 2021 movie ‘Silence’. Titled ‘Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout’, the movie releases on ZEE5 on 16th April, 2024.
ZEE5 has also unveiled the trailer for Silence 2, giving us ample hint of the plot of the upcoming movie. For starters, Silence 2 is far far darker and grimmer than its predecessor. While the first movie wasn’t as gory and bloody, Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar is definitely all of the above, and more.
Multiple murders take place in a bar, the result of an apparent shootout. However, intensive digging by ACP Avinash Verma (Manoj Bajpayee) and his team leads to the conclusion that there’s a more sinister reason behind the murders. As more bodies turn up, it’s a race against time for the cops to stop the murderer in his tracks.
The original cast of Manoj Bajpayee, Prachi Desai, Sahil Vaid and Vaquar Shaikh return to reprise their cop roles from the first film. Parul Gulati is the new entrant in Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout. Like the first film, Silence 2 is also written and directed by Aban Bharucha Deohans, and produced by Zee Studios.
