ZEE5 Drops The First Look Of The Much-Anticipated “Pavitra Rishta 2”!

Zee TV’s iconic daily soap Pavitra Rishta recently has been on the news. The legendary daily soap was in the news, as a brand new season was being planned for it. An official announcement came about the start of the second season of Pavitra Rishta. As many of Zee’s iconic daily soaps were going digital, so was the plan for Pavitra Rishta. There was lots of hue and cry as to why the second season of the show was being shot now. Pavitra Rishta received a lot of backlashes but seems like Zee has successfully gone past that now.

ZEE5 on Thursday dropped the first look for Pavitra Rishta 2 and as beautiful as the original daily soap, this too looks amazing. The second season of Pavitra Rishta comes with a tagline this time and it mentions- “Pavitra Rishta: It’s Never Too Late”. Just like the earlier daily soap, this too will bring to its audience an epic love story, one that shall be remembered for years to come.

Pavitra Rishta 2, is being produced by actor-director Bhairavi Raichura, along with Ekta Kapoor. The series stars Ankita Lokhande and Shaheer Sheikh in the lead. The series also stars Pooja Bhamrah, Piyush Ranade. The series is directed by Nandita Mehra and is written by Nikita Dhond, Gautam Hegde, and Ritu Bhatia.

It is still not sure as to when the series will drop, since it is being mentioned as “coming soon”. The series will have 55 episodes, which is a plus. Given it will be a digital series this time, the creators at least won’t be in a hurry to wrap up the love story in just 10-12 episodes, and also how legendary the original series was, it at least needs to reach a certain level. The original Pavitra Rishta aired from 2009-2014 and became one of the highest watched Indian daily soaps of all time.

Even though fans will be seeing Ankita Lokhande back in the series, it is heartbreaking for fans to not see Sushant Singh Rajput. It was Pavitra Rishta that made Sushant a household name and gave him the much-needed television break. Fans of Sushant were against the making of the series, as they had questions as to why the series is being made, only after Sushant’s death, why wasn’t the series being considered earlier. But the person filling Sushant’s spot, Shaheer Sheikh, is not unknown in the world of television. He is a superstar too in the TV world. Shaheer in an earlier interview has mentioned how nervous he was, knowing how Sushant was for the fans and how attached they were to this.

It will be a tough time for Sushant’s fans, definitely but every show needs to be given a chance. Maybe this will be a new beginning for the “Pavitra Rishta” too. As for the series, it will first drop on ZEE5 and later will arrive on ALTBalaji.
