Zee5 did not have a busy month in October with only four Indian titles coming up on the platform. Despite such low numbers the performance was much better than many previous months given that this time the shows and films that came on Zee5 were much more impactful.
To begin with, in the first week of October Zee5 had the world digital premiere of the blockbuster film ‘Gadar 2’ which as expected did exceptionally well numbers wise. Having had a gala time at the box office the Sunny Deol and Amisha Patel starrer film continued to create waves on OTT as well.
Next up was the Telugu drama ‘Prema Vimanam’. The film received mixed reviews but overall came out as a heartwarming drama that was a family entertainer and provided an enjoyable cinematic experience to the viewers.
Then we have Zee5 original web series ‘Duranga’ season 2 that came out in later in October and managed to engage the audience with its mysteries. After a successful first season, season 2 was much awaited and it mostly lived up to the expectations.
Lastly we have Bengali thriller film ‘Nikhonj- The Search Begins’. Zee5 hosted the world digital premiere for the film though it couldn’t manage to get any attention.
Overall, Zee5 had a productive October despite such few titles, proving the fact that less is more. This time around it was mostly ‘Gadar 2’ that made up for everything and raked in the moolakh for Zee5.
