ZEE5 is pinning high hopes on Tollywood’s Sankranthi biggies. Wonder how? Here is the story. The OTT player has apparently bagged the post theatrical digital streaming rights of Tollywood’s Sankranthi biggies, namely RRR, Radhe Shyam, and Bangarraju. As for RRR, ZEE5 has bagged the digital streaming rights of the Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions of the Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer. The same appears to be the case with Radhe Shyam as well. As per reports, ZEE5 has bagged the post theatrical OTT streaming rights of the South Indian language versions of Radhe Shyam
ZEE5 had already partnered with Bangarraju a long while ago. The OTT platform is associated with Bangarraju right from the outset. They are involved with the production as well. Needlesss to say, ZEE5 will keep hold of the post theatrical digital streaming rights of the Nagarjuna starrer.
While the forthcoming Sankranthi releases are expected to take the box office by storm, they will also play a decisive role in ZEE5‘s OTT game as far as the Telugu OTT market is concerned. RRR is regarded as ZEE5’s cornerstone film and even Radhe Shyam is riding high on buzz and it might well catch the attention of Telugu OTT audience. Bangarraju might well attract the family audience.
With these biggies, ZEE5 can stake its claim in the Telugu OTT market and the OTT platform would be hoping to strike gold with the same. Will the platform be benefited by these three intriguing projects? We have to wait and watch.
