Poison 2 is one of the most awaited web series for fans of edgy crime and retribution dramas. The ZEE5 show has been in the works recently, and today, the OTT platform revealed the premiere date for the new season of Poison. The show is slated to premiere on the digital platform on 30th April. ZEE5 also revealed the first look of the show with the launch of its first official poster.
The poster shows a muscled and gleaming Aftab Shivdasani, bare-chested and showing off his tattooed biceps, encircling pretty leading lady Laxmi Raai in his arms, and both staring into the camera with amused nonchalance.
As we had informed our readers earlier, Aftab Shivdasani makes his debut in the digital space with this much-awaited web series. Laxmi Raai is a well-known actress from the South, who’s done plenty of films in diverse genres before making her way to the web spade. Season 1 of Poison had seen the web debut of actor-producer-director Arbaaz Khan, brother of Salman Khan, making his debut in the web space.
Another stand-out member of the cast is sure to be TV hunk Zain Imam. The actor has amassed a huge number of followers with his popular TV outings such as Naamkarann and Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna, but hasn’t been seen in anything since. All his fans are waiting to see their favourite actor back in action. Roping in Zain Imam for Poison 2 will apparently be great for the show, in our opinion.
Rahul Dev, Pooja Chopra, Asmita Sood, Vin Rana and Taher Khan make up the rest of the cast of Poison 2.
Poison 1 was a revenge drama, and Poison 2 appears to have a premise along similar lines. As the makers say, the quest for revenge is like poison on the bloodstream of the revenge-seeker. Interesting, isn’t it?
