‘The Kashmir Files’ and its humongous success is as conspicuous as it gets and while we all await its digital premiere on Zee5, one of its special screening has already helped the platform achieve a new world record.
Zee5 has now become the first such OTT platform to stream a movie in Indian sign language interpretation. A special screening for the same was held in the presence of the cast and crew of ‘The Kashmir Files’ for a specially abled audience.
Sharing photos from the event Zee5 wrote on social media, “Setting a world record! ZEE5 becomes the first-ever OTT platform to release a movie with Indian Sign Language interpretation. Here’s a glimpse of a special screening held in sign language for a specially-abled audience. #TheKashmirFiles premieres tomorrow on #ZEE5”
In collaboration with ISH News for the Indian sign language interpretation of the film, the makers of ‘The Kashmir Files’ have also launched a new sign language trailer.
Helmed by National Award winning filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, ‘The Kashmir Files’ is a heart-wrenching tale that captures the pain, suffer and struggle of the Kashmiri Pandit community in 1990 and leads Krishna, a young college student, to set out on a quest to uncover the truth.
‘The Kashmir Files’ stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar, Pallavi Joshi, Puneet Issar, Prakash Belawadi, Atul Srivastava, Bhasha Sumbli, Mrinal Kulkarni and Chinmay Mandlekar.
Tej Narayan Agrawal, Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri have produced ‘The Kashmir Files’ with Jaya Prakash Rao Dhote and Mayank Singhania serving as co-producers. The production companies behind the film are Zee Studios and Abhishek Agarwal Arts in association with I Am Buddha Productions.
