Zee5 is soon going to come up with the unique streaming of short films through its Short Film Festival. There will be nine short films as part of the series.
It will all begin with Heartbeat on April 15th. According to the buzz doing the rounds, Heartbeat is expected to kickstart the Short Film Festival with its poignant tale. It features Rajeev Khandelwal and Anupriya Goenka in the lead. Gold fame Lakshya Kochhar will be seen in a vital supporting part.
Heartbeat focuses on the sensitive topic of euthanasia. Manu Chobe directs the short which is said to be heart touching. While Rajeev Khandelwal and Anupriya are expected to deliver the best they are known for, Lakshya is said to be the surprise package.
We have previously updated about Seasons Greetings as well. It is also part of the Short Film Festival. Then there are, Strawberry Shake, Half-Full, Svaah, So Be It, Second Hand, How About A Kiss, Food For Thought and Boom Boom – they are all part of the shorts that are to be streamed.
Each comes with a unique theme, but the common element running across them seems to be a slice of life, realistic and bittersweet fun. The theme admittedly sounds exciting. In the times of lockdown, with increasing stress, these short films are likely to provide the right fodder to keep the anxiety in check.
