ZEE5’s ‘Squad’ Lead Malvika Raaj Debuted With A Shahrukh Khan Film!

ZEE5‘s upcoming Original film ‘Squad‘ has attracted all the right kind of attention from audiences, media and industry folk. The action thriller marks the debut of Rinzing Denzongpa, son of striking yesteryear’s villain, Danny Denzongpa. That alone is cause for major interest in the film. Danny has been a terrific presence in the Hindi film industry through the seventies, eighties and nineties, whether as a villain or a parallel lead or in a supporting role. It’ll be interesting to see how his son stands up to scrutiny in the film industry.

But wait, not just Rinzing Denzongpa, there’s major cause of interest also in Malvika Raaj, the female lead of ‘Squad’. And that is because the beautiful actress made her first foray into the film industry with a Shahrukh Khan film! The film in question is ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’! Intrigued? Read on!

Very few viewers are aware of the fact that the girl who played the role of the young Poo in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham is none other than Malvika Raaj, the energetic action star of ‘Squad’. The slightly chubby, light-eyed girl of then is now the slim, svelte and very pretty up-and-coming leading lady of today. Post her appearance in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, the girl disappeared into thin air, only to surface in a forgettable Telugu film, Jaydev, and now, in ZEE5’s ‘Squad’.

Malvika Raaj’s younger version of Kareena Kapoor’s Poo is an adorable mix of cute and fiery at the same time. Let’s see what she brings to the table in ‘Squad’. The film is directed and produced by Nilesh Sahay.

‘Squad’ centres on an officer of the elite Indian Special Forces Unit MARCOS (Marine Army Commandos), played by Rinzing Denzongpa. He is a deserter of the Special Forces, but returns to the action field for the sake of six-year-old Mimi, a girl he has forged a special bond with. Nineties actress Pooja Batra also returns to acting and makes her digital debut with ‘Squad’.

‘Squad’ premieres on ZEE5 on 12th November. Have a look at the ‘Squad’ trailer here –
