Russel Crowe’s latest film Unhinged has been one of the most keenly awaited films for fans of the Oscar-winning actor. The movie enjoyed a theatrical release this August, in parts of the world where the Covid-19 shutdown had been lifted and theatres reopened. But Indian fans of the actor had no such luck. Theaters are still not open full-fledged in India. But the good news is that Zeeplex, the pay-per-view arm of ZEE5, is bringing Russel Crowe’s Unhinged to India.
Zeeplex has grabbed the streaming rights to Unhinged. The movie releases this Friday, that is 13th November, on Zeeplex. The one-time cost of streaming the film is Rs 299, quite nominal, we think, when the entire family can watch the movie in that cost.
Unhinged is a thriller, directed by Derrick Borte, and written by Carl Ellsworth. The film stars Russell Crowe, Caren Pistorius, Gabriel Bateman, Jimmi Simpson and Austin P. Mckenzie. It centres on a young woman who is terrorised by a seemingly unhinged man after a road rage incident.
The pay per view format of watching films is slowly gaining currency in India. Zeeplex has recently premiered two popular releases, Khaali Peeli and Ka Pae Ranasingham on its platform. Both films were received well by viewers.
