Telugu director Prasanth Varma, who’s known for his groundbreaking approach towards the modern film making, has just revealed the first teaser of Hanu-Man, which will mark a new cinematic universe in Telugu.
Terming it as the first original superhero movie in Telugu, the teaser of Hanu-Man doesn’t reveal any character but it shows the glimpses of snow-clad mountains and just a tiny bit of a man standing on a cliff. It also showcases a watchtower but didn’t really clarify why there is a watchtower in the middle of the icy mountain.
Though the teaser of Hanu-Man hasn’t revealed much, it was clear that the film will rely heavily on visual effects. Actually it’s not that surprising since Prasanth Verma is such a director who has always shown faith in modern visual effects oriented film making, for example, with his 2021 cult film Zombie Reddy. Zombie Reddy was based on a concept of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and an antidote created to cure the same which eventually turned the humans into zombies. Hanu-Man will be his fourth film after psychological thriller Awe, action drama Kalki and Zombie Reddy.
Earlier yesterday Prasanth Verma took to his twitter and let his fans know that he will be announcing a new cinematic universe today, May 29th at 9AM. Today is coincidentally Prasanth Verma’s birthday too. It looks like he has given the fans of the superhero genre a gift on his own birthday with this announcement teaser of Hanu-Man. As per the teaser, the film will be dedicated to the real ‘superheroes’ fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
