The wrath of the zombie outbreak by Umbrella Corporation is again upon us. But this time, it’s in CGI mode with Netflix.
Netflix just dropped the most anticipated teaser of Residential Evil: Infinite Darkness and its ‘bloody’ amazing. The 70 seconds teaser may sound short but it has plenty of spine-chilling moments as we expect.
Those who are new to this massive media franchise, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is an upcoming CGI anime web series created for Netflix. The series will center on Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield, the protagonists of the survival horror game, Resident Evil 2, released in 1998.
As per the sources, the story of Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness takes place in 2006 centering the White House. Leon was ordered to investigate a hacking incident there, but in a series of events, he winds up being attacked by zombies. He later reunites with Claire, who’s in charge of an investigation of a strange drawing of a child refugee. Now, they must come up with a solution to survive this new zombie invasion.
Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness was officially announced at the virtual 2020 Tokyo Game Show as a CGI series by the show’s executive producer, Hiroyuki Kobayashi. The series is being directed by Eiichiro Hasumi and Produced by TMS Entertainment whereas Quebico will have the responsibility to animate the entire series. Furthermore, Leon & Claire will be voiced by Nick Apostolides and Stephanie Panisello, respectively.
Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is set to debut in July 2021 on Netflix but fans will be pretty excited to know that a live action film is also in the pipeline. The filming has already been completed for Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City and will be released on 24th November, 2021. So, there is a whole new frontier to open in terms of zombie apocalypse and we can’t wait for it to be unleashed.
