‘Zone Of Interest’ Gets OTT Release Date In US; What About India?

Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming platform, Max, revealed its upcoming streaming calendar for April 2024. Standing out amidst the comprehensive list is one thrilling title – multiple Oscar winning movie ‘The Zone Of Interest’. The winner of the Best International Feature Of The Year at the Oscars 2024, The Zone Of Interest will premiere on OTT in the US on Max. The Zone Of Interest OTT release date in the US is set for 5th April, 2024.

Film fans in India are desperately waiting for The Zone Of Interest OTT release in India. If we go by the release of the movie on Max, The Zone Of Interest should release on OTT in India on Jio Cinema, the home of HBO, Max and Warner Bros. Discovery content in India.

However, the release of The Zone Of Interest on Jio Cinema is riddled with confusion. This is because The Zone Of Interest is an A24 Films’ release. Warner Bros. Discovery has a deal with A24 for new movies, by which all new A24 movies will stream on Max in the US.

There’s no such deal in place between A24 and Warner Bros. Discovery for Jio Cinema in India. Nor is there any direct deal with A24 for any Indian streaming platform. This is the reason why there’s no fixed Indian streaming platform that will get guaranteed digital streaming rights for new A24 movies.

For example, A24’a Past Lives is streaming on Lionsgate Play in India. Its Talk To Me is streaming on Prime Video India. Similarly Aftersun was grabbed by Mubi for streaming in India. By this criteria, we can’t say anything as of now for The Zone Of Interest India OTT release date and platform.

The Zone Of Interest is loosely based on the 2014 novel by Martin Amis. The movie is written and directed by Jonathan Glazer. The Zone Of Interest won two Oscars 2024 three BAFTAs and also the top prize the Grand Prix at Cannes 2023.

The Zone Of Interest follows commandant of Auschwitz, Rudolf Höss, and his wife, Hedwig, as they strive to build a dream life for their family in a house and garden right next to a German concentration camp during World War II. Christian Friedel stars as Rudolf Höss alongside Sandra Hüller as Hedwig Höss.
