AI will help Prime Video users catch up on shows they’ve been watching. With this new feature, called “X-Ray Recaps,” viewers can get a quick refresher on key events and plot points in a series they may not have seen in a while. Like a recap but without a video.
The idea is simple: sometimes there’s a big gap between seasons, or maybe you just haven’t watched a show in a while. Instead of re-watching entire episodes or scrambling to remember what happened, X-Ray Recaps provide a summary that quickly gets you back up to speed. This feature builds on Prime Video’s existing “X-Ray” tool, which already shows details like actor names and production info when you pause a show.
Amazon points out that X-Ray Recaps can also save you from having to rewind if you missed something. Instead of going back or searching online this feature will offer a quick, spoiler-free overview right in the app.
Not only that, Prime Video has already started to use this feature on some of its originals. People with not so great memory will definitely be thankful.
