Check Out 5 Big Releases on OTT This Weekend!

This weekend brings a strong lineup of new titles across OTT platforms, with five major releases landing almost at the same time. This is going to stay till the Christmas and New Year season, where people have ample options to watch in almost every genre.

One of the releases is the fourth and final season of Four More Shots Please! on Amazon Prime Video. The show returns to its core themes of friendship, love, ambition, and independence, as the four women face turning points in their personal and professional lives. This series always gets polarised responses from people, as those who love it absolutely love it and well, you know the other side. We are expecting the final season to be equally bold and unapologetic.

Netflix is releasing Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders, a sequel to the 2020 film. Nawazuddin Siddiqui reprises his role as Inspector Jatil Yadav, this time investigating a murder tied to a powerful family. The film leans into a slow-burn mystery, layered with social tensions. The first part was a really well made film and people in the COVID days went gaga over it.

Netflix India is also coming up with The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 4, but we are not counting it; as you already know the series pretty well.

On JioHotstar, Mrs Deshpande features Madhuri Dixit as a convicted serial killer who is asked to help the police track a copycat criminal. The series focuses on psychological tension and the uneasy relationship between the investigators and the criminal they depend on. It has a really promising premise and the presence of an actress like Dixit will certainly bring views.

ZEE5’s Nayanam is a Telugu series centred on an ophthalmologist whose work leads him into ethically questionable territory. As his actions escalate, the series explores obsession and moral collapse.

Nivin Pauly’s Pharma is also releasing this weekend, adding a grounded medical thriller to the OTT lineup. The series follows a pharmaceutical sales representative who stumbles upon serious side effects linked to a widely used drug. As he digs deeper, he finds himself up against powerful companies determined to suppress the truth. The show focuses on corporate greed, ethical compromise, and the cost of whistleblowing, placing an ordinary man at the centre of a system designed to protect profits over people.

Together, these five releases make this weekend a perfect catalogue for the Christmas weekend.
