JioHotstar has become more expensive and here is everything that you need to know. It has announced a new subscription pricing structure that introduces monthly plans across all its tiers. The changes will apply to new users starting January 28.
Under the new model, the Mobile, Super, and Premium tiers will now be available on monthly, quarterly, and annual plans. The Mobile plan starts at ₹79 per month, ₹149 per quarter, and ₹499 per year. The Super plan costs ₹149 per month, ₹349 per quarter, and ₹1,099 per year. The Premium plan is priced at ₹299 per month, ₹699 per quarter, and ₹2,199 per year.
While the Mobile tier remains unchanged, prices for the Super and Premium tiers have increased. The Super quarterly plan has gone up from ₹299 to ₹349, and the annual plan from ₹899 to ₹1,099. The Premium quarterly plan has risen from ₹499 to ₹699, while the annual plan has increased from ₹1,499 to ₹2,199. Existing users on auto-renewal will continue with their current pricing.
JioHotstar has also changed how Hollywood content is offered. For new users, Hollywood shows and films will now be included only in the Super and Premium plans. Mobile users can access this content through a separate paid option.
