It is October already. Before we begin with September, let’s talk about something we couldn’t possibly talk about last month. IC-814.
The series was launched on the 29th of August so technically it is an August title but since we do the monthly reports at the beginning of the month, we didn’t have enough data to talk about IC-814.
So this series is well made as a series but the overall controversy was a headache. The makers had to suffer a lot and ultimately put a disclaimer. Sadly, Netflix India put the disclaimer only in India but we feel that every corner of the world where IC-814 has an audience should know that the terrorists were not called Bhola and Shankar.
But the views were fantastic too.
Now, let’s get to September and firstly the releases.
Original Film
Sector 36
Original Series
The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2
Licensed Films
Ulajh, Mr Bachchan
Analysis
If dullness could be explained then the content slate of Netflix India has to be the same in the month of September. It is practically the most boring month of the year.
Other than Sector 36, there was absolutely nothing to be excited about. Yes, Sector 36 was a good film and even the views came out to be good. But, it was nothing like an extraordinary thing.
The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2 is as lousy as the first season and there is still nothing different to be excited about.
Ulajh is a very recent addition and it doesn’t have a lot of buzz. Mr Bachchan is a disaster in the true sense as even the OTT release failed to generate buzz.
The month of September doesn’t deserve more than 4 out of 10 on Netflix India. Absolutely underwhelming.
