Analysis:
It has been a pretty bad month for Amazon Prime Video and there have been no spectacular releases in September. Prime Video India is known for its original shows, but there were not many good shows this time. ‘Call Me Bae’ was passable and the Tamil version of Panchayat titled ‘Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam’ managed to create a hype too, otherwise there was a drought in content and the number in original movies was zero. The platform has always shined with shows like Mirzapur and Panchayat, but sadly there were not many in September. The licensed movies list is quite long and there are some interesting titles like ‘Kottukkaali’, ‘Pechi’, ‘Roopanthara’ etc in them. The overall performance was not satisfactory and for September 2024, we can rate Amazon Prime Video only with a 4 out of 10.
