Prime Video has done a commendable job in bringing Tollywood movies to audiences across regions, offering them in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and even original Telugu. But there’s one glaring gap: Hindi.
It’s surprising because many of these same movies are available on Netflix, complete with Hindi dubbing. This means that the audience who prefers or relies on Hindi audio often has to switch platforms to watch the same film in their language of choice.
Considering Hindi is one of the most widely spoken languages in India, the absence feels less like an oversight and more like a missed opportunity. For Tollywood films aiming for pan-India reach, accessible Hindi dubbing on all major platforms is essential.
Prime Video already invests in regional diversity, so adding Hindi dubs, especially when they already exist elsewhere, should be a natural next step. Not only would it make the platform more inclusive, but it would also ensure viewers don’t have to juggle subscriptions to enjoy content in their preferred language.
