Telugu Audiences Cheated With Baahubali: The Epic OTT Release

Baahubali as a film does not need any introduction. The movie franchise is a landmark moment in Indian cinema history. S. S. Rajamouli has reworked his iconic Baahubali films into a single long feature titled Baahubali: The Epic. This new cut combines Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion into one continuous story with a runtime of close to 3 hours and 43 minutes. It was released in India in October 2025 as a special version meant to offer a fresh experience.

The film has now arrived on Netflix, but the response from Telugu audiences has been largely negative. The main reason is the language availability. Currently, Baahubali: The Epic can only be streamed in Hindi with English subtitles. The Telugu version has not been made available on the platform, which has disappointed many fans.

Since Baahubali is actually a Telugu film, viewers expected the Telugu version to be given priority or at least released at the same time as the Hindi version. On top of that, there has been no official statement or update from any OTT platform regarding when the Telugu version will premiere.

Until an update is announced, Telugu viewers continue to wait for access to the film in their language.
