‘Vaazhai’ and ‘Sarfira’ are both coming to OTT this weekend and there is doubt about which movie will do better among them. Both will be streaming on Hotstar. One of them is a small budget movie that made bug numbers at the box office whereas the other one is a remake of a superhit movie that did not work as per expectations.
Mari Selvaraj’s children’s drama ‘Vazhaai’ is a movie that astounded people with its lyricism and beauty and also with its box office collection. It is bound to attract more people when it comes to OTT.
Sarfira did not collect much money but was still a recovery for Akshay Kumar when compared to his last movies. The movie and performances were appreciated by audiences but it still failed to cross the mark. What happened with ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ might happen again and people might discover Sarfira once more on OTT and there is a chance of better success for the movie.
However, it seems like Vaazhai will still draw a larger audience as the word-of-mouth for the movie has spread wide enough and on Hotstar it will give competition to Sarfira. Now we have to see how good Hotstar promotes the movies to make them reach their expected audiences.
