Watch it Or Not? Here’s Your Weekend OTT Guide

Every week, there are tons of titles to stream on OTT. And we get it, it can be overwhelming. So, we have decided to help you choose what to watch. You can totally relieve yourself from any decision anxiety and we are here to help.

1. Mayasabha (SonyLIV, from August 7)

A politically charged Telugu drama tracing two childhood friends turned rivals amid the volatile politics of 1970s Andhra Pradesh. Based on the real story of two giants of Telugu politics, this series is perfect for you to watch.

2. Wednesday Season 2 Part 1 (Netflix)

After the huge success of Season 1, this new chapter brings back the supernatural school’s darkest hallways with Burtonesque visuals and teenage angst in full swing. Expect gothic charm and familiar oddities. Watch it.

3. 28 Years Later (BookMyShow Stream)

A standalone return to the 28 franchise, mixing zombie mayhem with emotional depth. Beautifully bleak and introspective, it’s a well-made genre piece. Watch it.

4. Photo (Prime Video)

This movie is about a 10 year old kid and his father who are stuck in the lockdown. They begin their journey to their hometown from Bengaluru. This film has some very strong performances and story. Watch it.

5. Arabia Kadali (Prime Video)

Based on true events, this survival drama follows rival-fishermen imprisoned in Pakistan. Praised for its grounded acting and emotional honesty, it also suffers from pacing issues and basic visuals. Watch it as it is worth it for performances and depth.

6. Salakaar (JioHotstar)

This is a terribly executed show with spying in the base of it. The series utterly fails in both drama and thrill. We recommend you to skip this show.

7. Micky 17

Oscar winner maker of Parasite also helmed this film but it did not come out well. Robert Pattinson is in the lead and even his brilliant acting skills couldn’t save it. Skip.

8. Stolen: Heist of the Century (Prime Video)

A fast-paced true-crime drama based on a daring heist. It’s engaging and slick, perfect if you love crime stories rooted in real events. Watch it.

9. Megan 2.0 (Prime Video)

Two years after M3GAN, an artificial intelligence, went rogue and began its murderous rampage, its creator, Gemma, has become an advocate for government oversight of AI. You can watch it.

10. Mothevaari Love Story (ZEE5)

This Telugu language drama is a love story where the couple elopes. But a family will reveals something else entirely. Then the drama begins and the eloping seems like a bad choice. You can skip it.
