Neeraj Ghaywan doesn’t make films to entertain you, he makes them to crawl under your skin. This story of two friends caught between ambition and a cruel system is emotional without crying for attention. Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa are excellent, and Janhvi Kapoor finally fits a role.

It’s casual, warm, and surprisingly intimate. You’re basically eavesdropping on the most famous film family as they eat, laugh and poke fun at each other. No drama, no fake “reality show” tension, but Alia Bhatt is missing from the picture.

A kabaddi player fighting his way out of a rigid system should feel thrilling, but the film keeps tripping on its own seriousness. With so much potential, it somehow becomes more exhausting than exciting. Ambition doesn’t always equal impact.

This one isn’t shy about its politics. It dives straight into history, pokes at raw wounds, and leaves the subtlety at the door. You will have opinions, arguments, and maybe even frustration, but at least this is a kind of film that needs to be made.

A slow burn, yes, but never dull. Joel Edgerton plays a man swallowed by a changing world, and the film treats silence with more respect than most writers treat dialogue. You need patience for this one, but it rewards you beautifully.

It tries very hard to be inspiring. The problem is that you can see the effort sweating through every scene. Sports stories need heart, not predictable speeches. You already know every turn before it takes one.

Matt Smith dives into chaos like he was born for it. This twisted road-trip with a broken salesman is part tragedy, part dark comedy and part “why am I feeling sorry for this man.” It’s messy in the best way.

Teen drama can be fun when the writing has spark. This one doesn’t. It’s the usual mix of crushes, drama, friendships and school politics, and somehow still feels like homework.
