Badlee is the struggle of a newly appointed schoolmaster to save his school. The school is on the outskirts of the village on a small hill with no proper approach road. Then the school which should have had nine students is left with just two. And those two are also not interested in studies.
Most of the villagers have relocated to cities in search of jobs. And those who have remained are not interested in sending their children to school. Amidst all this, if Patil sir does not find more students, his school is in danger of being shut down.
