Bridgerton is one of the most awaited shows of the year by Netflix. It is created by Chris Van Dusen. Bridgerton has been adapted from Julia Quinn’s novel series of the same name. Shonda Rhimes serves as the producer of the show with Betsy Beers and Chris Van Dusen as executive producers.
Bridgerton will be arriving on Netflix on the occasion of Christmas, on 25th December 2020.
Synopsis
The show follows Daphne Bridgerton, who is a young woman and the eldest daughter of the powerful and well known Bridgerton family. She is all set to enter into the sophisticated “marriage market” of London. There have been many suitors who have come and gone after visiting Daphne, mainly because of her brother who keeps ruling out all the potential candidates.
In the midst of all this, a highly society scandal sheet begins to roll out in the society which features all the misdoings of every high profile members of the society. The sheet apparently is being presented and circulated by Lady Whistledown. Initially, it starts to come as blind items, but then it gets more specific with names of the person and their scandals. With the social season of marriage and gatherings upon them, Lady Whistledown warns everyone that if a scandal happens, she’ll find out and uncover it in front of everyone.
With Daphne’s marriage on the line due to the Scandal sheet, here enters Duke of Hastings who is a bachelor, good looking with charming personality and currently is looking for a suitable bride. With every other lady wanting him, there might be a possibility that he has his eyes for someone else.
The show is filled with emotions, humour, scandals, secrets, lust and most importantly love.
