Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker is an English fantasy and adventure movie, the third and final installment in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, the first two being The Force Awakens, and The Last Jedi, and the final installment of of the nine-movie “Skywalker saga”. The Rise of Skywalker opens with the resurrection of the evil Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid), who had supposedly been killed by Darth Vader. Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), Supreme Leader of the First Order, obtains a Sith Wayfinder, leading him to the uncharted planet Exegol, where Palpatine is holed up. Palpatine declares revenge on the Resistance by sending a fleet of planet-killing machines after them. He wants to build, what he calls the Final Order, and plans to unleash mayhem. The Resistance, led by Rey (Daisy Ridley) who is training under General Leia (Carrie Fisher, digitally recreated), and supported by Poe (Oscar Isaac), Finn (John Boyega), Rose (Kelly Marie Tran), Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo), C-3PO (Anthony Daniels) must pursue the clues, find the Sith Wayfinder to get to the Emperor and defeat him once more. In between, she also has to face-off against Kylo. The movie has ample action scenes, with dogfights, desert chases and saber-battles, and plenty of gorgeous shots.
