Equinox is an upcoming Danish Netflix original series based on the famous podcast ‘Equinox’ by Tea Lindeburg. The show is a supernatural thriller written by Lindeburg, Mette Kruse, Tue Walin Storm and others. It has been directed by Søren Balle & Mads Matthiesen.
The story is divided into two timelines, one set in 1999 and the other one sejt in the present day. Equinox follows a young woman named Astrid who works as a late night Radio Jockey but has had a traumatic childhood. In 1999, her sister Ida, was disappeared on a school trip and not only her but the majority of people who went into the trip went missing. This gave Astrid nightmares all of her childhood but subsided as she grew older.
One night on her show, she receives a mysterious call from someone who was present on that doomed trip that night with Ida, he tells Astrid that he saw what happens that night which lead to the disappearance of the habitants of the school bus. Soon, after that call Astrid learns that the mysterious caller died which makes her intrigued about the ongoing case.
She decides to look for herself and find out what actually happened to her sister. And in the process she’ll meet unimaginable consequences which will change her perception of reality forever.

From the premise, Equinox looks like a mind boggling supernatural thriller with doses of parallel realities and time travel centered around the mysterious disappearance of a bunch of people which makes the setting all set for entertainment.
Equinox will be arriving worldwide on Netflix on 30th December 2020.
