Based on the award-winning novels by Isaac Asimov, Foundation chronicles a band of exiles on their monumental journey to save humanity and rebuild civilization amid the fall of the Galactic Empire. Foundation begins with Hari Seldon, a math professor who develops a branch of mathematics called psychohistory.
Using this method, he predicts that the mighty sci-fi civilization in which he lives is slipping toward a fall. But as math got them into this mess, so it can get them out; by following his guidance, perhaps civilization can be saved, or the effects of the fall at least minimized.
