Set in Indore (Madhya Pradesh), ‘Ghar Waapsi’ follows the Dwivedis, a middle-class family of five that includes a 28-year-old carrier-oriented eldest son Shekhar; a laid-back middle child Sanju; and a bright and witty youngest child Suruchi. Their jovial father Ratanlal Dwivedi and mother Madhuvanti, who is the polar opposite of her husband.
The story begins after Shekhar is sacked from his job in Bengaluru and returns to his hometown. He hides it from his family, who are overjoyed to see him after two long years. In fact, they are looking for Shekhar’s bride because he is of the right age to settle down in life. But once they learn the truth about Shekhar, will they be able to handle it?
