Panga

Panga is a 2020 Hindi film that is inspired from the true story of a female world champion Kabaddi player. Jaya Nigam (Kangana Ranaut) is a former world champion Kabaddi player, who has now given up on the sport after marriage to Prashant Shrivastava (Jassi Gill) and a kid, Aditya (Yagya Bhasin). A chance meeting with her former teammate Meenal (Richa Chaddha) makes Jaya nostalgic and pushes her to strive to return to the sport she aced in her younger days. Her son Aditya, unaware of his mother’s talent and world champion credentials until now, also coerces her to return to the sport. The film showcases how, with the wholehearted support of her husband, son and mother-in-law Rachna (Neena Gupta), Jaya overcomes all her doubts, age issues, social conditioning and the fear of social stigma, to re-enter the sport of Kabaddi and top it again.
