A Viral Wedding is India’s first ever microseries. It is a Hindi language comedy and drama, with another unique element to it – it is a series that has been filmed totally in lockdown. All the actors have shot their portions of the narrative in their own homes, and with a hand-held camera. The story is of a young couple, played by Shreya Dhanwanthary and Amol Parashar, who were supposed to get married, but then the lockdown happened. Despite the lockdown and the fact that they will not be together, the couple decides to get married virtually. All the ceremonies are completed by the bride and groom, but separately, in their own homes. The pandit, played by Sharib Hashmi, goes about solemnising the wedding virtually on the computer, and all of the couple’s friends attending virtually too. The series deals with all the glitches, the gags and the goings-on that occur in the run-up to the wedding. The Microseries consists of eight, nine-minute episodes. All the technical aspects, music direction and post-production work were also done remotely by the technicians in their own homes. Starring Shreya Dhanwantary, Amol Parashar, Sharib Hashmi, Sunny Hinduja, Mohit Raina Written and directed by Shreya Dhanwanthary Mentored and produced by Raj Nidimoru of Raj & DK https://youtu.be/dqwjyu7u_oA
