An adaption of H.P. Lovecraft’s short story. Told in the style of a 1920s silent film. A sculptor known as Michael comes across a stranger while on his way home from work. This mysterious man and him become dangerously intertwined as they explore the inner workings of the subconscious. This causes Michael to find himself slowly detaching from any form of reality. When him and his newfound friend have a frightening experience while visiting an incomprehensible realm, they both vow to sleep as little as possible. Michael’s wife, Kim, grows deeply concerned for the safety of her husband as insanity begins to set in, taking him on a horrifying journey that’s far beyond human understanding.
