Lupin is french crime comedy drama series which has been created by George Kay. The show has been directed by Marcela Said, Ludovic Bernard and Louis Leterrier who has directed Now You See Me as well. The series is based on the adventures of the fictional criminal named Arsene Lupin.
Lupin follows the story of a young man named Assane Diop who works as a janitor in the famous Louvre museum. Although, typically cheerful by nature, Diop has had a traumatic childhood due to several reasons. The major one of them being the false accusations on his father by a rich family of a crime he didn’t commit which ultimately lead to his death.
Diop too is heavily inspired from the fictional thief Arsene Lupin and decides to pull off a heist from the Louvre to get back and avenge his father’s death. For the heist he decides to steal Marie Antoinette’s necklace. He forms a team where he will walk in as a buyer of the necklace during the auction which will be held for the prestigious necklace. While his team will enter as janitors to pull off the heist. In short enter as janitors and leave as millionaires.
