Synopsis
Omar Sy plays professional thief and master of disguise Assane Diop. His father, an immigrant to from Senegal, had come to France to seek a better life for his son. He is framed by his powerful employer Hubert Pellegrini in the false theft of an expensive diamond necklace, and jailed for the crime he did not commit. The teenaged Assane is shattered when his father hangs himself in jail in desperation and shame.
A grown up Assane gets inspired by the daring heists of fictional master thief Arsène Lupin, and models himself on the fictional character. Soon, he becomes the master of disguise, and sets out to get revenge on the Pellegrini family, using his charisma and mastery of thievery, subterfuge, and disguise to expose Hubert’s crimes.
