Oh My Kadavule is a Tamil language romantic comedy starring Ashok Selvan, Ritika Singh and Vani Bhojan. Ashwanth Marumuthu directs the movie which received fairly decent critical reviews. The film hit the screens on February 14th as a Valentine’s Day gift. Arjun (Ashok Selvan) and Anu (Ritika Singh) are childhood friends. The former even is fixed that she would marry the latter from a young age. One day after the completion of the graduation party, Anu proposes to Arjun. After initial hesitation, Arjun agrees to marry. A year later problems reach a crescendo between Arjun and Anu as the former is unable to see the latter romantically. It doesn’t help the couple, that Arjun has hot’s for Meera (Vani Bhojan), his school day’s crush. When Anu knows about them, all hell breaks loose, and the couple file for divorce. The twist in the story comes in the form of God, who arrives amidst the divorce proceedings and offers Arjun one more chance to make his life better. What Arjun does and how it makes him realize his mistakes is the core plot of the movie. Ashwanth Marumuthu’s crisp narration with slick, trendy making won unanimous appreciation. The supporting (includes a cameo by Vijay Sethupathi) too did their bit to lift the proceedings as did the lead. The music by Leon James is an additional plus.
