Sufna is a Punjabi language romantic drama starring Ammy Virk, and Tania in the lead. The movie released to decent critical acclaim on February 14th as a Valentine’s Day gift, earlier in the year. Teg (Tania) is a half-Muslim motherless girl. Her father is also not with her as he is an army man. As a child, she yearns for motherly love and waits for her father to return from the battlefield. She is brought up with lots of importance for love and respect despite being poor. During Teg’s work of picking cotton in the fields, she meets JEet (Ammy Virk) who is wasting away time with friends. Jeet instantly falls in love with her and how he wins over Teg is the core story of the movie. Although, the plot seems highly routine, director Jagdeep Sidhu has brought a difference in the way love is perceived and experienced by the lead character of Teg. He showcases it in a painstakingly slow-paced manner which tends to bore at times. Jagjeet Sandhu, Jasmin Bajwa, Seema Kaushal etc. play critical supporting parts in the love story. B Praak provides the music whereas Vineet Malhotra is the man behind stunning photography. Navneet Virk and Gurpreet Singh produced the movie on Panj Paani Films. https://youtu.be/5Z0XEsuJPX8
