Vaanam Kottattum is a Tamil family drama movie that centres on the story of a family that is threatened by its past. Chandra (Radikaa Sarathkumar) wants to keep her children Mangai (Aishwarya Rajesh) and Selvam (Vikram Prabhu) away from the feudal violence that had sent her husband Bose (Sarath Kumar) to jail for committing two murders. The children grow up into balanced people, away from violence and retribution, until their father returns from jail. Bose’s return reignites the feud. The rest of the movie follows the struggle of the two siblings between jumping into the violent life of their father, or staying true to the upbringing of their mother. There’s also a romantic track between Selvam and Preetha (Madonna Sebastian).
