Paris, August 1933: the 18-year-old Violette Nozière poisoned her father and shortly afterwards confessed to the crime. She cited sexual abuse as a motive. The patriarchal France wanted nothing to do with it, denied the accuses and vehemently demanded the execution of the soon called “monster in the skirt”.
